Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has some proven health benefits, but there is no good scientific evidence to support other uses:

Blood sugar control

ACV can lower blood glucose levels after a meal and reduce fasting blood sugar levels after waking. However, ACV alone will not lower blood sugar levels and should not be considered a substitute for diabetes medications.

Weight loss

A randomized clinical trial found that ACV can significantly reduce weight, but only when paired with a calorie deficit.

ACV contains natural probiotics, which can boost the amount of healthy bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract.

Anti-microbial properties

ACV can decrease the growth of Salmonella.
